A look at the future of data collection... Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS and Total Station data collection directly in CAD!
Carlson Field is available as a stand alone program or as a module of SurvCADD. Survey/civil, construction and GIS offices will be able to collect field data entirely in the CAD drawing, plotting all field data collected in the Autodesk 2004 DWG format.
GIS data is stored in MDB (Microsoft Access format) tables and coordinates into Carlson's CRD coordinate files. Carlson Field's CAD engine includes the Raster Image command, so you can also plot all field collected data directly on raster Ortho Photos/Quad sheets.
Surveyors, GIS technicians, contractors can now take their CAD drawings digitally into the field and collect or stake-out directly in the DWG drawing.
Surveyors can create or update drawings real-time, true Field-to-Finish! GIS Technicians store points and input or update to MDB database tables all GIS info with raster photos. Construction surveyors can stake out by point number or snap to any CAD polyline, line or arc. Raster images including popular road map CD's, Quad sheets or Aerial Ortho Photographs can all be imported and surveyed on.
